The Liberty Belle's gaming operation began in 1958 with four Mills Blue Fronts (c. 1950). They came with the lease of the building. In the following year one Ace 4-reeler twas traded for the second Mills Violino Virtuoso purchased for $100. Other bargains were a quarter Caille Centaur acquired for $175 and a 1905 nickel Caille Peerless Roulette that was purchased for a $100 . The latter machine was very popular and was licensed for almost a decade. This classic beauty is pictured on the following page. The A.C. Mult-Bell, operated for a couple of years at the Liberty Belle, was acquired for only $12.00, because it was considered obsolete. It was the only one licensed by the Nevada State Gaming commision. | ||
