of the Liberty Belle are Today's Collectibles.
The Liberty Belle's gaming operation began in 1958 with four Mills Blue Fronts (c. 1950). They came with the lease of the building. In the following year one Ace 4-reeler twas traded for the second Mills Violino Virtuoso purchased for $100. Other bargains were a quarter Caille Centaur acquired for $175 and a 1905 nickel Caille Peerless Roulette that was purchased for a $100 . The latter machine was very popular and was licensed for almost a decade. This classic beauty is pictured on the following page. The A.C. Mult-Bell, operated for a couple of years at the Liberty Belle, was acquired for only $12.00, because it was considered obsolete. It was the only one licensed by the Nevada State Gaming commision.
